• The week is only halfway through, but ooooh boy • The week is only halfway through, but ooooh boy what a start it has been!! From selecting beautiful upholstery for one of my projects to sourcing furniture and other items for home stagings, and welcoming two new interior design intakes in stunning appartements in The Hague. And in between a number of styling sessions. The variety in client interactions and spending my days surrounded by beautiful things truly makes me happy. This is EXACTLY why I chose to become an entrepreneur and do what I love most. Oh and yes - a quick doctor’s visit with Pepijn this morning. This render was created using @myarchitectai and then finetuned with a few prompts in @nanobanana.ai. While it’s not a 1:1 photorealistic representation of my SketchUp design, it does give a good sense of how I’ve worked with materials, textures, composition, and lighting. It’s more about capturing the feeling of the space than presenting an exact replica of the design. On top of that, the smell of the pine tree instantly relaxes me the moment I walk into the living room. • Bauhaus | Definitely one of my favourite design • Bauhaus | Definitely one of my favourite design movements. Here’s a few icons I’d love to add to my collection one day🙏🏻🙌🏼 1. Barcelona Chair – Designed by Mies van der Rohe & Lilly Reich. Easily my top Bauhaus chair favourite. Minimal, sleek and timeless. The cushions with separate panels and subtle tufting make the design complete. Created especially for the German Pavilion at the 1929 Barcelona International Exhibition. 2. Wassily Chair – Marcel Breuer experimented with tubular steel inspired by bicycle frames. It only later got its iconic name, thanks to artist Wassily Kandinsky (a colleague at the Bauhaus school), who fell in love with the design. 3. LC1 Chair – Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret & Charlotte Perriand. Corbusier called it a “machine for sitting,” perfectly blending comfort and architecture. 4. S33 Chair – Mart Stam’s cantilever chair. One of the first designs in the world without back legs (although that wasn’t necessarily the intention). 5. WA 24 Table Lamp – Wilhelm Wagenfeld designed this lamp for his workspace.
